Teresa Avery
EMBA Managing Director

Teresa comes to the Smeal College of Business with a background in public relations and marketing, having spent 10 years in client account leadership at a Pennsylvania agency serving accounts as diverse as Pfizer Animal Health and Outback Trading Company. She holds an EMBA from Smeal (Class of 2008) and has remained closely involved with the program as an alumna since her graduation. She oversees all aspects of the program including admissions. Teresa also holds the position of president of the Forum of Executive Women - Delaware.

EMBA Faculty Director

Lou is a clinical professor of finance in the Smeal College of Business and faculty director of both the residential and Executive MBA Programs. Before returning to academia, he worked in financial roles for IBM and Freddie Mac. He has also taught at George Mason and the University of Maryland. Lou holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from Smeal College and an MBA, MA (Economics), and Ph.D. (Economics) from George Mason University.

Tara Banerjee
Student Services Manager

Based at the University Park campus, Tara provides service and support to students and faculty and coordinates program operations and events. She assists with the recruitment of new students and monitors admission, registration, and graduation processes. She is present on-site during class weekends in Philadelphia and during the University Park residencies. Tara’s background includes 18 years of experience in higher education recruitment, admission, and program coordination. She received a master of education degree in counselor education from Penn State and is licensed in Pennsylvania as a Professional School Counselor.

Jamie Campbell
EMBA Diversity Director and Coach 

Jamie is the Assistant Dean for Diversity Enhancement Programs at the Smeal College of Business. He is the recipient of the 2013 Dr. James Robinson Equal Opportunity Award, which recognizes a Penn State faculty or staff member who has contributed to the University by improving cross-cultural understanding. He has served as a panelist on topics ranging from social justice to students’ issues and has served as a speaker for several leadership programs. He received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Morehouse College and a master of education degree from Central Michigan University. Jamie currently is a fourth year Ph.D. student at Penn State in the workforce education program with concentrations in organization design and human resource development. His research focuses on succession planning as a form of crisis management.
