Application Process

An overview of the application process for the Penn State Smeal Executive MBA Program in Philadelphia.

To apply for admission to the Penn State Smeal Executive MBA Program, please complete the steps below. Once submitted, our admissions team will preliminarily review your application materials. Applicants are not required to submit GMAT/GRE scores. Once all application materials are received, they will be reviewed by the admission committee. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, beginning October 1st. 

Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in an admissions interview as the next step in the process. International applicants may be required to submit scores for the TOEFL or IELTS to the Graduate School. Further information is available via the Penn State Graduate School.

The application deadline and the deadline to submit enrollment deposits for the Class of 2020 is June 1, 2018*. Due to classroom size constraints and the cohort nature of the program, class size is limited and seats are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. *Please contact us if you'd like to discuss the possibility of a deadline extension, or if you have any questions about the Penn State Executive MBA program, the application process, or the status of your application.

4. Submit Your Essay and Educational Transcripts

Request one official transcript from each institution attended, regardless of the number of credits or semesters completed. Transcripts not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation. Penn State alumni do not need to request transcripts for credits earned at Penn State, but must list Penn State as part of your academic history.
